This survey is part of a larger project in which TennCare is collaborating with Tennessee Community Organizations and the ICI at the University of Minnesota to address workforce challenges for direct support professionals (DSPs). In this comprehensive effort, the University of Minnesota conducted an annual statewide survey about the direct support workforce in Tennessee. Participating organizations received a profile about the direct support workforce in their organization. They also received training and technical assistance to identify and address at least one key challenge that their organization faces and to improve their direct support workforce turnover and retention rates.

Project technical assistance team from the University of Minnesota includes: Barbara Kleist, Sarah Hall, Claire Benway, Laurie Tschetter, Julie Kramme, MacDonald Metzger, Mark Olson, and Amy Hewitt.
