A New Chapter

I am another step closer to college. Today was a person-centered planning day at Augustana. Jessica Lamb, Augie Access director and advisor, led the meeting. We took the day to work on a student one-page profile. I will finish my profile to share with my professors, advisor, and peer mentors. We talked about what is important to me and important for me. Something that is important to me is making my own decisions. Something important for me is there are times when I need support to know my choices and to make a decision.

My student profile will include information about my relationships, my strengths and challenges, my routines, and what makes a good or bad day for me. The student profile will help new people get to know me and help me live my best life at college.

In less than a month, I am moving into the dorms. I was able to check out my dorm room. Like any college student, I am getting everything ready to go to college. I know who my roommate is and we have emailed each other. She is a Green Bay Packers fan just like me. I am getting excited.
