The “Connect” meeting is the basic Check & Connect intervention. The “Connect” meeting is a structured but not scripted conversation between the mentor and the student. All students who participate in C&C receive this intervention weekly.

A consistent structure provides a routine for students and allows them to develop expectations, which helps them feel connected to school, learning, and their mentor.
