By the end of the meeting, the student has a specific plan involving a change of routine to try to get to school more often.
The mentor lets the student know that she will talk to the student’s mom to update her, and that their next meeting will be about trying to make school more enjoyable. The mentor focuses first on getting the student to school. Once the student is at school, the mentor will then focus on the student being engaged.
