In addition to fun play throughout the day, your provider will likely ask you to engage in free play during your child’s first few sessions a lot of the time is spent in free play. This helps your child get used to the intervention sessions. It also gives the provider some time to get to know and learn about how your child plays and interacts.
Even following your child’s initial sessions, doing free play at the beginning and end of telehealth sessions helps to make sure your child is enjoying themselves.
