ICF/IID recipients per 100,000 by state. In 2019, an average of 20.4 people per 100,000 of the population lived in an ICF/IID. The top-left map highlights four states in green. There were no people living in an ICF/IID in June 2019 in Alabama, Michigan, Montana, and Oregon. The top-right map shows 16 states highlighted in yellow where one to 10 people per 100,000 lived in ICF/IID. Those states are Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. The bottom-left map shows 16 states highlighted in blue where 11 to 25 people per 100,000 lived in ICF/IID. Those states are California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wyoming. The bottom-right map shows 14 states where 26 to 92 people per 100,000 lived in ICF/IID. These states are Alaska, Arkansas, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia.

In 2019, an average of 20.4 people per 100,000 of the population lived in an ICF/IID. The number per 100,000 ranged from 0 in Arizona, Michigan, and Oregon, to 92 per 100,000 in Louisiana.
