Public funding sources used by adults with IDD

Of those known to state IDD agencies, 712,953 got Medicaid Waiver funded supports, 60,518 lived in an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, 150,259 got support funded by the state or another funding type, and 81,571 were known to state IDD agencies but did not receive paid supports other than case management.
In 2020, 56% of adults with IDD were not known to state IDD agencies. 44% of adults with IDD were known to state IDD agencies as of June 30, 2020.
Of the 1,005,401 adults known to state IDD agencies, 71% received Medicaid Waiver funded supports, 6% lived in an ICF/IID, 15% received long-term supports or services funded another way, and 8% received no long-term services or supports other than case management.
